EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) is a form of psychotherapy that has been used for almost 30 years, which allows our brains to reprocess painful memories allowing us to heal. EMDR believes that unprocessed memories in our brains are the cause of anxiety, depression, guilt, shame, anger and many other symptoms that stop us from living our lives fully.
EMDR allows to reprocess the painful events so the memories are not longer painful, causing negative thoughts and feelings. You will not forget what happened to you but the memory will not longer be as disturbing as before causing you to have negative emotions; but on the contrary you may be able to resolve the internal conflict of that memory in a health way.
EMDR can be use with people all ages.
